Position Description

The Head of Capital Markets will lead the firm’s fundraising strategy and serve as a strategic partner across the organization. This individual will be responsible for raising capital across multiple investment vehicles, leveraging a deep understanding of the capital markets, and well-established relationships with key investor segments—including joint venture partners, endowments, pension funds, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and RIAs. As a senior member of the leadership team, the Head of Capital Markets will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s continued growth and long-term capital formation goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in fundraising, demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously, and bring the sophistication needed to engage confidently with top-tier investors—delivering a thoughtful and strategic approach to capital raising and investor relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with investors, fiduciaries, and key real estate industry partners to drive new business opportunities and support ongoing capital-raising efforts.
  • Represent the firm in investor meetings and capital-raising activities, effectively articulating investment performance, fund strategy, and market positioning, while managing all aspects of investor relations and communications.
  • Design and execute a strategic, scalable marketing and sales plan for all investor segments, supported by clear quantitative and qualitative metrics.
  • Oversee the customization and timely updating of existing offering materials—such as private placement memoranda (PPMs), pitch decks, and investor presentations—for each new fundraise, ensuring they remain aligned with the firm’s investment products, strategies, and current market outlook.
  • Provide critical input on Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), side letter negotiations, fund closings, and other key fund and venture documents in collaboration with internal stakeholders and legal counsel.
  • Apply deep expertise in entity-level capital strategies and leverage market intelligence on investor behavior, client needs, and industry trends to support fundraising objectives and inform strategic business and product development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure timely, accurate investor reporting—including Quarterly Asset Management Reports—and contribute as an active member of the Executive Committee to high-level strategic and operational decisions.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of executive-level capital raising experience, ideally with joint venture partners, endowments, pension funds, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other institutional investors, demonstrating a proven track record of success raising capital from diverse U.S. real estate investor segments.
  • Strong business development skills, capable of growing the investor base organically and through active external efforts such as attending industry events, conferences, and seminars.
  • Exceptional presentation and client relationship skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to building and nurturing productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Deep technical knowledge of the real estate industry and investor landscape, preferably including experience with non-traditional office and industrial assets.
  • Motivated, creative self-starter with strong negotiation skills, entrepreneurial drive, and the confidence and maturity to operate independently and thrive in a results-driven, high-performance environment.
  • Demonstrates stability, emotional maturity, and professionalism suited for working in a dynamic, high-pressure team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
